plural

Plural is normally contrasted with singular, where singular is ‘one’ and plural is ‘more than one’.

English only has singular (one) and plural (more than one).

Some languages have different terms for dual (two) or trial (three) or other forms. In such cases, plural may mean ‘more than two’ or ‘more than three’.
